Big Boi met Andre 3000 in the 10th grade at Tri-Cities High School. The two became friends, forming the hip-hop duo ‘Outkast’ in 1991. They signed to LaFace Records and their debut studio album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, arrived in April 1994. It was led by the single “Player’s Ball” produced by Organized Noize. The duo’s second album, ATLiens, followed in August 1996. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It was led by the Scott Storch-assisted single “Shutterbugg.” His second solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, dropped in December 2012, and his third, Boomiverse, in June 2017.
