How to Deal with Holy Radiation
To mitigate the DOT effect of Holy Radiation in V Rising, Vampire adventurers must wear specific capes, brew certain elixirs, or turn into a grizzly.

Holy Radiation is an environmental Debuff in V Rising that Vampires will encounter in areas like the Dunley Monastery or Brighthaven Cathedral. Without any Resistance to this negative status effect, players will suffer damage over time, losing 10 HP per second. Adventurers can know that they are under the impact of this Debuff whenever a colorful yet haunting glow appears at the top of the HUD in V Rising. Moreover, the imposing red text "Holy Radiation" or "Heavy Holy Radiation" will be displayed near the bottom center of the screen.
While it is possible to avoid landmarks with Holy Radiation in V Rising, bloodthirsty explorers will eventually need Gold Ingots and the Athenaeum, the Tier-3 research workstation, to progress their adventure in Vardoran. Accordingly, the V Blood Carriers that unlock these Recipes are in locations where the environmental Debuff is active. Therefore, players will need to find a way to deal with Holy Radiation in V Rising if they wish to continue advancing their vampiric technology.
There are three ways to mitigate the effect of Holy Radiation. The first and most straightforward method is turning into a bear via Bear Form. This Vampire Power provides players with +25 for all Resistances, including Holy. To acquire Bear Form, players must defeat the Level 36 Ferocious Bear boss in V Rising. However, while this form of Holy Radiation mitigation is somewhat viable, it is undoubtedly impractical in areas like the Dunley Monastery or Brighthaven Cathedral.
Dealing with Holy Radiation In V Rising

The next way to deal with Holy Radiation in V Rising is by wearing one of the following capes, each of which offers +15 Holy Resistance:
- Phantom's Cloak: unlocked by defeating Foulrot the Soultaker and crafted at a Tailoring Bench
- Razer Serpent Mantle: unlocked from a random item drop in high-level zones
- Immortal King's Mantle: unlocked via the Dracula's Relics Pack DLC, which costs 10 USD
The third and recommended method for reducing the harmful effect of Holy Radiation is brewing the Holy Resistance Potion or Holy Resistance Flask at an Alchemy Table. The Potion boosts Holy Resistance by 50 for 30 minutes, while the Flask variant buffs Resistance by 75 for the same duration.
- Holy Resistance Potion: unlocked by defeating Christina the Sun Priestess, a Level 44 V Blood Carrier who roams the paths of Dunley Farmlands between Dawnbreak Village and Mosswick Village
- Holy Resistance Flask: unlocked by defeating Willfred the Werewolf Chief, the Level 64 V Blood Carrier of Gloomgrave Village
V Rising is available in Early Access on Steam.
