VFW to help veterans impacted by fires | News, Sports, Jobs

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Maui will be at the VFW Post in Kihei from Tuesday to Saturday to help veterans impacted by the Aug. 8 wildfires.

Veterans can visit the post from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday to connect with a veteran service officer, pick up donated items, fill out forms to replace lost records such as DD-214s and other services.

Transportation to the post is available, and veterans do not need to be VFW members to receive assistance.

The post is located at 1136 Uluniu Rd.

Veterans impacted by the fire who are unable to make it in person can call (808) 463-5830 or (808) 446-5295 to speak with a veteran service officer.
