After much teasing, the first full-length trailer of Wonka is out. The film based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features Timothée Chalamet as the eccentric inventor, chocolate-maker Willy Wonka.The trailer of Wonka reveals Timothée Chalamet’s Wonka who has been travelling the world and working on his chocolate-making skills. Later, we see him show off those skills before he’s faced with the Chocolate Cartel. Not that, it does much to stop his rise in the industry.

Wonka leans into the nostalgia of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Chalamet looks convincing as Willy Wonka and blends into the magical world set up in the trailer.
The official synopsis reads, “Based on the extraordinary character at the centre of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.”
Wonka will be released on December 15, 2023.
